Our Gardening Program
At Collards, we are proud to offer a weekly Gardening Program led by our experienced educator and gardening expert, Adelina. She visits twice a week and works with children across all rooms — including our babies — to nurture a love of nature and hands-on learning.
Each week, Adelina plans engaging gardening topics and activities tailored to the children’s interests and developmental stages. Together, the children have planted and cared for a herb garden and a vegetable garden, learning first-hand where food comes from and how to care for plants so they grow strong and healthy.
This program not only teaches children about sustainability and responsibility but also rewards them with the joy of harvesting their own nutritious food. We look forward to sharing our harvest with families and the wider Collards community throughout the year.
